Accessing Additional Panel Functions

In addition to notifications, the Notification Panel also provides quick and ready access to separate device functions. These can be quickly activated or deactivated by toggling them on or off. You can also select which functions are displayed.

1.To go to Settings, touch Status Bar Settings. For more information, refer to “Settings” on page 79.

2.Touch To display the Status Bar:Manual background to display additional quick settings buttons.

Touch Manual background to configure the Notification panel. For more information, refer to “Notification Panel” on page 92.

3.To set the display brightness, touch the Manual background Brightness slider and drag it to set the brightness. For more

information, refer to “Display” on page 87.

4.To adjust the system volume, touch the Manual background Sound slider and drag it to set the Notification sound level or

touch Manual background to set the level for Notifications, Media, and System sounds. For more information, refer to “Sound”

on page 86.

Status Bar

The Status Bar at the top of the home screen provides device information (such as network status, signal strength, battery charge, and time) on the right side and notification alerts on the left.

To display the Status Bar:

From a Home screen, swipe downward from the top of the screen. The grey Status Bar will appear. It will disappear after a few seconds.
