Hangouts

ChatON

A smart-messaging app that gives you a host of innovative ways to stay connected with all your friends and family, regardless of their device or platform. Use ChatON to send and receive instant messages from any device that has a mobile phone number.

1.From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔ ChatON. If you are launching this application for the first time, follow the onscreen instructions to complete the account setup.

2.Enter and send your message.

Hangouts

Hangouts is a free, web-based application for instant messaging offered by Google. You can connect with your friends across computers and various Android devices. You can have conversations or video calls with up to 10 friends.

1.Sign in to your Google account, if you have not already done so. For more information, refer to “Setting Up Your Gmail Account” on page 50.

2.From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔

Hangouts.

3.Follow the onscreen instructions to use Google+.

4.Touch Menu ➔ Help for more information on using Hangouts.
